Laura Harms aka I am the Diva's second weekly challenge is to tangle with a 2-pencil string. This is my tentative entry...I kept it simple, still have trouble with Betweed, practiced a few times on Paradox (top left) and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm not so sure I like the string, I flubbed it a little at the bottom. Might just try another tangle for this challenge...mixed feelings about this one.
No, I am not going to change it...I did some thinking and that is not the attitude Zentangle promotes. There are no mistakes (having a little trouble with that part) and tangling is supposed to be relaxing not ending in self criticism. I have decided to be happy with it because I was happy doing it! Lesson learned! 8-)
This is very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAgree it's a very lovely tangle. Like the twisted look in the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteI love how the square-ish tangle plays against the flowing ribbon...very nice!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!... and for sure, we can't see your "flub" as there is no such thing in Zentangle! Looking forward to next week!
ReplyDeleteWow, Heather! This one is very expressive and you can see the movement in it, too. Gorgeous! (And it looks like you've got Betweed happening beautifully to me!) ♥ the whole package!
ReplyDeleteI love how the ribbon wraps around the square, and your Betweed looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy looking at this Zentangle - I love the look of ribbon wrapping around betweed - Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteindeed, there are no mistakes - and incidentally, i think your tile is beautiful! i also have to keep practicing Betweed.
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! I have to agree with everything that everyone has said here. It's funny how each of us has trouble with certain tangles. I think when the brain learns to let go, the hand can learn the motions. That frees the brain to deal with more lofty concerns. (It sounds good, so that's the story I'm staying with, lol!)
ReplyDeleteYes, I love the way your tangle is all wrapped up!
ReplyDeleteI love it the way it is!
ReplyDeleteThe contrast of the moving ribbon and the static square is thrilling.
I love the sense of depth in it, its just great :)
ReplyDeleteHow funny that we both chose a squarish background! I had not even seen your work before attempting mine! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery Elegant!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely. You got that new technique down real well. I like it. Now off to see your other blog.
