Laura Harm's Challenge this week is White Space. I did this first one last night but now feel it was only a warm up. Sometimes more ideas come while I am actually playing with a tangle. I used to think I had to have one already in my mind...but when I just tangle, more come. Guess what I will play with tonight!
I'm off to the dentist before work. Maybe I can tangle in the waiting room.
Oooh! This is lovely!
ReplyDelete*ggg* When I saw your ZT I thought 'wow, lovely!' – and Molossus already wrote it ;-) .
ReplyDeleteI like how the spirals levitate through space and time, leaving little wholes in the stream above as if they were punched out. Whereas those black balls rise from below to soak through the same space as the spirals…
And you shaded it so delicately!
Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Heather - wow!! I love the counterpoint (is that the right word? - interaction, contrast, play, balance) between the straight parallels and the curved parallels... it's so dramatic. Beautiful. Hope the dentist is kind and the tangled wait soothes you beforehand. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour space is working, when I read about you going to the dentist, I had to smile, it does look a bit like a mouth opening wide!! It must have been on your mind!
ReplyDeleteHeather, you posted this link on the Challenge 9 post, not 10!! i don't want people to miss out on seeing your tile!
ReplyDeleteOh your white space goes perfectly with your tangle!
ReplyDeleteOooohh! I LOVE the little "negative-space" holes in the upper right!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done with wonderful shading!
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment on my blog. They're always welcome! Sorry you had troubles with it. I struggle with leaving open spaces so this was a great challenge for me. You did a fabulous job on yours!!!
ReplyDeleteYour tile looks great; I like how the bubbles go trough the white space.
